Allwest Compressor Products Recommended Lubrication System Maintenance Schedule

Weekly

Check oil levels in lubricator and gearbox, as well as lube rates by using cycle time.
Make sure that any and all monitoring devices on the lube system are functioning correctly, and if not, replace immediately.

Monthly

Check lube system for leaks. Just a few drops a minute on some compressors can mean up to 50% of the oil going to that injection point. Fix all leaks.

Every Oil Change

Replace all high-pressure filter elements.

Every Two Years (OEM recommends every six months)

Test all divider blocks and double check all valves for bypassing, leaks, and damaged internal pistons and oil passages. A malfunctioning divider block will put the entire oil quantity to the point of injection with the lowest resistance (usually the first stage cylinder). The unit will not shut down for there is still flow through the shut down.

Yearly Shutdowns

Follow proper testing procedures as outlined by your compressor supplier. Change the lubricator's oil and visually check the lubricator and gearbox for wear. Be sure to replace the gearbox oil with the proper grade and viscosity. Check all mechanical arms on lube meters or universal counters.
