In most instances, Allwest can provide a replacement piston of equal or superior quality to OEM in less than one week. If we don't have a drawing, we will manufacture a sample. The causes and effects of piston failure is carefully examined, and new designs strive to eliminate these.
Piston styles range from solid Cast Iron and Aluminum, to drilled and sculpted, 2pc./3pc. designs, Steel or Cast Iron ring carriers, and spray bronze riders. All untested piston designs are analyzed by finite element software to ensure maximum fatigue strength and structural integrity.

Allwest Compressor Products has been manufacturing filled PTFE piston ring and rider bands since 1982. In the years since, quality workmanship and experience, with revised concepts and techniques, have led Allwest to be considered among the industry's best at manufacturing application driven piston rings and rider bands. PTFE has the lowest coefficient of friction of any solid material, making it ideal for the compressor industry. Using PTFE piston rings and rider bands results in lower cylinder temperatures, cylinder wear and lubrication requirements.
Dependent upon the application, PTFE, Peek, Thermoplastic, Bronze, Micarta and Cast Iron piston rings are available in a variety of styles up to 36 1/2" diameter. Rider bands are manufactured solid or split and can be supplied in PTFE, PEEK, Micarta, and Bronze. |
